What You'll Discover Inside the

Art & Faith Forum:

  • The difference between godly ambition and selfish ambition (and how Scripture names both).
  • Why desire itself is good—and why the ordering of your desires matters more than the size of your dreams.
  • How the Bible celebrates holy drive: from Paul’s “ambition to preach the gospel” to Solomon’s longing to build and lead with wisdom.
  • The difference between Godly ambition and the dangerous health and wealth theology that equates spirituality with success.
  • The hidden dangers of sloth, passivity, and “playing small” in the name of humility.
  • How to spot Tower-of-Babel ambition in your own heart: when success becomes about “making a name” instead of glorifying God.
  • A simple process of heart-examination and prayer to re-calibrate your motives and your creative goals.
  • How to pursue excellence in your craft, serve your audience deeply, and stay grounded in contentment—whether doors open or stay shut.

For A Glimpse Inside,

We'll Walk Through:

  • Ambition in Scripture: Why the Bible both warns against selfish ambition and celebrates godly drive.
  • Dignity of Hard Work vs. The Prosperity Gospel Deception: How God’s economy and sanctification play out in our vocational pursuits.
  • Desire and the Christian Life: How God designed you with desires that are meant to be trained, not erased.
  • Ambition vs. Desire: Why desire without effort is just a dream—and how ambition turns holy desire into sustained, focused work.
  • Godly vs. Ungodly Ambition: From the Tower of Babel to the apostle Paul, you’ll see what happens when ambition is about ego versus God’s glory.
  • Questions to Search Your Heart: Practical, probing questions that reveal what you really worship—fame, fear, or the Father.
  • The Call to Excellence: Why burying your talents is called “wicked,” and how stewarding your gifts honors God and blesses others.

This is for Christian Creatives who:

  • Feel the tension between artistic excellence and spiritual faithfulness.
  • Worry their desire for influence, awards, or a bigger platform is selfish.
  • Realize the prosperity gospel is NOT the gospel and instead is a dangerous distraction.
  • Have been told (by culture, family, or church) that ambition is suspicious---or sinful.
  • Are tired of drifting into passivity, apathy, or sloth just to "play it safe".
  • Want to work hard, pursue mastery, and still hear "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Why this Matters Now.

If you’re a filmmaker, designer, writer, musician, game developer, or any kind of creative, you already know excellence doesn’t happen by accident. Degrees aren’t earned, films aren’t produced, and books aren’t written without real drive, sacrifice, and ambition.

The question isn’t, “Should Christians be ambitious?”
The question is,
“What kind of ambition is shaping my life, my work, and my soul?”

You were made in the image of a Creator who created galaxies, and who creates with delight. Your desire to create great works of art, to master your craft, and to make an impact is not a weakness—it’s a gift that needs to be ordered around God’s glory, not your ego.
